easykick

easykick is a boom topping lift and vang in one

Serving as a boom vang:
The easykick has a built-in 8-part purchase with radially staggered sheaves placed round the centre of effort (contrary to traditional pulley). This prevents twist and thus minimizes friction in the system and wear on the rope.

Serving as a boom toppinglift:
The easykick is capable of automatically keeping the boom in the right place so that damage to yacht and crew can be avoided.

Moored in the harbour:
When mainsail is stowed, the easykick will be compressed and will thus "push" the boom and keep it well clear of the cockpit. If you want the aft end of the boom lifted more than usual, you just move the piston slider a few holes closer to the mast.

Difference between easykick 1 and easykick 2: easykick 2 has a greater tube diameter and a built-in adjustable spring, which lifts the boom automatically when the main sheet is released. The easykick 2 is available with a ratio of 8: 1.

easykick 2 is furnished with an adjustable stainless spring

easykick 3 is a further development of easykick 1 and 2 and has been designed to fit IOR one-ton boats as well as boats of 35-45 feet.

easykick 3 serves as a boom topping lift when hoisting or reefing the mainsail and when moored in the harbour.

easykick 3 has a purchase system built in with a ratio of 20:1. The system is a combination of 6 mm stainless steel wire, delrin sheaves and 8 mm rope, long enough to lead back to the cockpit and ideal for use with easylock stoppers.

easykick 3 is constructed of anodized, seawater resistant aluminium alloy. The end fittings are made of aluminium alloy so that no sharp edges will damage the sails.
