easymatic
The mainsheet system
with two "gears"

Thanks to the patented easy double servo cleat it is possible for us to make this revolutionary mainsheet system.

Easymatic is now available in series 1 (boats up to approx. 32 feet) and in series 2 (boats up to approx. 42 feet).

The easymatic system consists of an easy double cleat and a number of easy super blocks.

The bearings are the same as in the new roller bearing blocks. An extra large bearing diameter allows more rollers and offers a larger load carrying surface with very little friction.

The Endless Main Sheet
By splicing the two rope ends of the main sheet you obtain the most effective easymatic system. The wear on the rope will be divided over the entire length and you will never be short of rope to ease through either cleat.

1st gear: Haul both rope ends together: double speed. To be used when you want to haul in the sheet fast.

2nd gear: Haul one rope end: double power. To be used for precise adjustment and hauling in the heavy par (normally only the last metre).

Which type of rope to choose?
As for all other mainsheet systems we recommend a smooth running sheet.

It is a mistaken belief that an easymatic system will take more sheet than a traditional mainsheet system with the same ratio (4: 1, 6: 1 or 8:: 1). However, if you are increasing the ratio, you will need to increase rope length proportionally e.g. 4:1 to 6:1 = +50%.

Very often the same mainsheet can be used when changing to easymatic. We recommend the smallest possible rope dimension meaning less friction and higher efficiency.

For yachts with centre sheeting
The two combinations shown are especially suitable for racing yachts, one design classes.

The advantage of the centre sheeting system is that you will always have the same angle to the cleat independent of the position of the boom.

Combinations with easymatic for cruising and racing

On this page we have shown the most common combinations of easymatic mainsheet blocks series 1 and 2.
On the race course the advantage of fast inhaul (1st gear) and fine adjustment (2nd gear) is used on yachts from
the Olympic classes Soling and Star to various Ton-Cup and Grand Prix yachts.
For cruising sailors the advantage is even more obvious. You can simply add another gear to your mainsheet system.
We are sure that your boat, too, can be faster and easier to handle with the two-geared easymatic.
